It’s no surprise that the nation’s capital stages the country’s best 4th of July celebration. Head down to the National Mall to enjoy a day of parades, food and live music capped off by a breathtaking fireworks show over the Washington Monument. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday Tribute & Celebration
The Music Center at The Strathmore presents The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday Tribute & Celebration is a multi-cultural program that engages diverse, talented performers and award honorees who serve their communities unselfishly. Approximately 2,000 young people, including county officials and local press, participate in this commemoration in the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Limit four tickets per household.
United States Presidential Inauguration 2017
"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."
With those words, the President-elect will take the oath of office on January 20, 2017, to formally become the 45th President of the United States. See the nine events that commonly take place on Inauguration Day.
MoCo Beerstravaganza
FeBREWary is Maryland's official month-long celebration of craft beer, and with craft brew events on tap across the state, it's the perfect time for a beer lover's getaway.
Owen’s Ordinary, in North Bethesda is celebrating FeBREWary by hosting “MoCo Beerstravaganza” on February 8, 2017; featuring more than 20 beers brewed in the county from 7 Locks Brewing, Denizens Brewing Co., Brookeville Beer Farm and Waredaca Brewing Co.
Love Thy Beer
On February 17, 2017, join the Brewers Association of Maryland for the Love Thy Beer signature event at the Silver Spring Civic Center! 6pm - 10pm. Enjoy some of the best local brews along with fare provided by Mission BBQ and music! From stouts and porters to winter seasonal brews, cask ales and sours, this event will feature exclusive brews not found at your local beer shop.

The Rock n Roll Marathon - Washington DC
The Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series attracts world renowned athletes and local rising stars to compete in the series of event spanning U.S. and International destinations.
Rock ‘n’ run the streets of the Nation’s Capital, March 11, 2017, at the Rock ‘n’ Roll DC Marathon and ½ Marathon. Choose from Marathon, Half Marathon or 5K distances. Bethesda Film Fest
The fifth annual Bethesda Film Fest will feature five short documentaries made by local filmmakers at screenings scheduled for Friday, March 17 at 7pm and Saturday, March 18 at 6pm and 8pm at Imagination Stage, 4908 Auburn Avenue in downtown Bethesda. The same five films will be shown at each of the three screenings.

Taking place along Constitution Avenue, our country’s largest Memorial Day event brings hundreds of thousands of visitors to the National Mall to commemorate our current and past military members and those soldiers who gave their lives while serving our country. Mark your calendar for the 3rd Annual Montgomery County GreenFest, the largest one-day environmental festival in the County! This year, we are moving Up County to Bohrer Park in the City of Gaithersburg.
GreenFest is a free, family-friendly festival dedicated to celebrating the people and environment of Montgomery County with a fun-filled day of music, films, speakers, exhibitors, and workshops.

Semper Fi Walk/Run
Join us near the Lincoln Memorial on Sunday, May 21, 2017 for the Semper Fi 5K Run/Walk to help us raise $60,000 for our wounded warriors! 100% of the proceeds benefit the Semper Fi Fund! Thanks to our tremendous volunteers and sponsors, every single penny left over from registration fees goes directly to the Semper Fi Fund! Together, we have raised over $300,000 (and counting) for our wounded warriors!
