Marc Duber is Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of The Bernstein Companies. Additionally, he is the Director of both the Hotel and Property Management Divisions. In these posts, Marc specializes in real estate management, development, and finance. His responsibilities include the day-to-day overseeing of operating the hotels the Company both manages and owns. Marc additionally heads the Companies' construction department by handling the on-going renovations of both new and existing office and hotel holdings. Marc's ability in this area leads to the entrepreneurial success of the company. He creates value and repositions properties in the most cost-effective manner. In addition, his vast experience in structuring creative financing and tax-advantage sales, acquisitions, and re-financing, adds great depth to the Company. Marc has been associated with TBC for more than 20 years and oversees long-range planning as well as financial and business development. He is actively involved in acquisitions and the financial structure of ventures for TBC. Of particular importance for the Companies, Mr. Duber recently completed the acquisition of the Annapolis Commerce Park project, a 400,000 square foot, mixed-use office project, in the capital of the State of Maryland. Additionally, he has handled the acquisition, financing, renovation and sale to George Washington University of the famed Howard Johnson Hotel across from the Watergate Complex in Washington D.C. Mr. Duber is a graduate of American University, is involved in his alma mater's alumni activities, and actively participates in various civic, religious and school organizations, and serves on several Boards of Directors throughout the community.
